Typhoon MUIFA (Kabayan) continues to track NW towards Okinawa today as a Ridge of High pressure pushes in from the north east. Winds expected at landfall over the island are likely going to be sustained between 80-90kts with gust even up to 110kts. Thus this storm is not one to be taken lightly and anyone within the Ryuku islands should continue to monitor the storm and the warnings to come from it.
Please check PATS video updates and continued updates from on the ground in Okinawa via Brian. Also Typhoonfurys James Reynolds will be in Okinawa during this storm to film the intensity of it. Thus please standby as I’m sure he will intense footage out of there.
Below is the warnings from six separate agencies across the region, good news is all of them are in a fair agreement on the track of this storm.
