TD Washi/Sendong Afternoon Update December 19, 2011

Tropical Storm Washi/Sendong has loses its strength in the past 6 hour and the Joint Typhoon Warning Center has downgraded it to a Tropical Depression.

TD Washi/Sendong is currently moving West South West (275 Degree) at the speed of 09knots with 30knots wind and 40knots gust. This storm was previously forecast to make landfall in the Malay Peninsula/Southern Thailand and even Singapore is now estimated to dissipate in the South China Sea in the next 24 hour

The strong cold surge from the north associated with the north east monsoon is tearing Washi apart and this condition is unfavorable for Washi to regain its strength in the next 24 to 48 hours.

We will continue to monitor the situation and keep everyone posted.
