North East Monsoon Brings more Rains, 14 JAN 2012 Western Pacific Weather

Even More rains are hitting the Monsoonal belt where over 50mm of rainfall has been reported in the in the past 24hrs in many locations with a max of 98mm in HAT YAI in Southern Thailand. These rains have been continuous as well threatening to bring even more flooding to the region.

Meanwhile a Stationary Boundary is lingering from Eastern China to the Ryuku Islands bringing cloudy skies and light drizzle today to most of the area. North of the boundary is colder temperatures associated with the Siberian High. Also associated with the high are cold northerly winds brining heavy snow showers to Western Japan.
