19 JAN 2012, Heavy Rains over Japan; Western Pacific Weather Update

Rain is effecting the Kanto Plain in Japan for the first time in over 30 days today. This is due to a low pressuring moving in from the East China Sea bringing a steady and sometimes heavy amount of rainfall with it to areas from Kyushu up to the Kanto region on the Pacific side of Japan.

Meanwhile Cold air pushes in behind this low bringing bitter temperatures with it by early next week, the tropics though will remain warm and will begin to see a re-emerge of the north east monsoon as a trough of low pressure moves towards the PI bringing enhanced showers over the weekend.
