The highlight continues to be the widespread rains across the Philippines that have been going on for the past 2 to 3 days. Nearly 300mm have fall in some areas particularly across Eastern Visayas and Northern Mindanao. While rain is forecast to start weakening by tomorrow, there could still be some areas of moderate rain showers as the Low Pressure Area continues to move out of Visayas. Improving weather for this weekend for much of the country although another batch of convection has been spotted near Guam and that could affect the country as early as Monday.
For more information on these two LPA, you can watch Rob’s Video Update as well as Francis’ for the weather for the rest of Asia-Pacific. I’ll leave you with the usual 3-day Forecast Graphic (NOT OFFICIAL!). My next update will be on Sunday (February 19), stay safe!
