Isolated thunderstorms continue to affect parts of Eastern Visayas and Mindanao today. Thankfully, there haven’t been a lot of heavy rain reports and based on the nature of the precipitation, we are not expecting large amounts of rain from this. However, some thunderstorms can trigger minor flooding and landslides so do be wary of that potential. Overall, rain showers will mainly affect Visayas and Mindanao leaving Luzon mostly dry and warm. Temperatures continue to climb in many areas, particularly Manila where a high of 34.5C was recorded two days ago. Daytime highs in the mid 30s will continue throughout the week due to the lack of cloud cover. As for the south, rains should remain scattered and light although another surge of rain might come in by the latter part of the week, potentially affecting Mindanao.
