A deep LOW just to the East of the SE Queensland coast has pushed NE and deepened overnight. However it is less likely now to become a tropical cyclone as wind shear affects the system. It is very unlikely to hit the coast.
A LOW has developed over the Kimberley coast and is pushing to the west. It is very likely to develop into a very deep monsoon LOW or tropical cyclone late on the weekend or into early next week. Interests along the Kimberley and Pilbara need to follow updates on this system over the next 5-7 days.
A third LOW is developing near the top end coast of the Territory and is likely to remain slow moving. Interests near the top end need to be aware that there exists a very high chance of major flooding. If the LOW gets off the coast in the longer term there is some slight potential for further development.
