Tropical Cyclone 16S and Australia Tropical Update / 7-8 March 2012

A new Tropical System has developed today West of Australia in the Indian Ocean, this system is forecasted to intensify but fortunately is forecasted to remain well away from any land areas as it tracks towards the west. This will allow it ample time to develop in to a strong storm though with JTWC forecasting a max of 75kts on the 12th.  The BOM is also now warning on this system and forecasting an increase in

intensity as vertical wind shear remains low and tropical outflow remains favorable around the storm and within its foretasted track.

Meanwhile we continue to watch another Tropical low East of Australia, at this time the development of this system remains low but does still bear watching.

The video above is from our partners at OZCYCLONECHASERS, please watch the video for an indepth outlook on both areas.
