Today is World Meteorological Day!
Today is also rainy across parts of the Philippines although not as widespread compared to previous week. Invest 96W is now moving into South China Sea so rains should become more isolated over the next two days. There will still be high chances for light rains across Northern and Eastern Luzon as a front (currently bringing rains across Japan) drops down from the north.
Much of Visayas and Mindanao will have clearer weather with only isolated thunderstorms to worry about. Next chances of rain here will approach on Monday. Invest 95W, currently bringing rains across Palau and Yap, will continue moving westward and could affect the Philippines early next week.
Forecast Graphic, NOT OFFICIAL!
Computer models have considerably backed down from showing a cyclone formation for our region. Nevertheless, we’ll still continue to watch these two invests, especially 96W as somewhat favorable conditions may allow to develop in the next few days.
Next update on Monday, March 26. Stay safe!
