Bopha will make landfall early tomorrow morning along the coast of Surigao del Sur near the city of Bislig and Hinatuan. The system will then track across Agusan and will probably exit near Cagayan de Oro by tomorrow afternoon. The strongest winds will be felt mainly along the coast but strong and damaging winds can still be felt inland. The bigger story will be the widespread heavy rains that could fall from this system. As much as 300 to 500mm can be recorded especially near the mountains. There could be some widespread flooding and landslides so please move away from the coast, from the mountains, and away from low-lying areas.
Bopha will then track into the islands in Visayas by tomorrow evening and into Wednesday, weakening along the way.
Also note that Meteorologist Robert Speta will be holding a live update later this evening at 15 UTC or 11pm Philippine Time. You can check his channel by clicking HERE
