Typhoon Haiyan continues to rapidly intensify as it nears the islands of Palau and Yap. Heavy rains, strong winds, and high waves will batter the said islands over the next 12 hours. Haiyan will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility later tonight and will be given a local name of Bagyong Yolanda by PAGSA. Check out our latest Video Update below for more information.
Typhoon Haiyan will move near Yap and Palau later today. Typhoon Warnings and Watches have been issued by the National Weather Service so please check their site by clicking HERE for the latest updates. As always, make sure to follow the instructions of your local officials. Haiyan is, then, forecast to make landfall possibly in Samar by early Friday morning as a powerful Super Typhoon. If you are in Visayas, please heed the warnings of your local officials and start preparing now!
