The overall weather situation in eastern Asia and the NWPAC has quieted down considerably, as temperatures start to rebound in the north and central, the south sees the heat continue, and the tropics stay quiet.
NORTH
Temperatures are warming up a bit across much of the north region, as the latest surge of cooler air begins to moderate just a bit. Parts of the extreme north are still seeing VERY cold temperatures, well below freezing as we head through the middle of the week, however, to the south and east a slow warming trend is underway. High pressure continues to dominate the entirety of the north region, so aside from the most northerly locations in the region, everyone will see just a few scattered clouds and lots of sunshine to help warm things up a tiny bit.

CENTRAL
Much of the unsettled weather that has continuously plagued the central region is moving offshore, so it looks like most of the region will start to dry out just a bit. That is, except Taiwan, which continues to see cold showers fall as the north winds blow the moisture up the mountain slopes and squeeze out whatever it can. Temperatures are rebounding quickly across the central region, and the main energy from the latest surge stays a bit to the north and east. It will be windy in western China as a new storm system starts to form there, but skies will be partly cloudy for most of the region, with plenty of sun.

SOUTH
More heat is on the menu for the south region, but it won’t be quite as oppressive as it has been for the past 2 days. Still, the south region will see a warm average high of around 33C (91F) with very little in the way of clouds or rain to help cool it off. There is still some weak energy passing from east to west thorough the Philippines, so rain chances there are elevated just a bit, especially for portions of Luzon. Singapore will once again see a round of afternoon thunderstorms, but everyone else will enjoy a rain-free day with just a few scattered clouds mixed in with the intense sunshine.

TROPICS
It’s another quiet day across the tropics, with very little in the way of even clouds over the region. A weak pulse of energy, the remnant energy from what was 90W INVEST, is passing through western Micronesia and the Philippines, so rain chances will be elevated in those locations. The Marianas could also see some showers as continental energy affects the area. Everyone else will see a day full of sunshine and just a few clouds.
