NWPAC outlook, 30 MAR
Warm, spring weather continues across the north and central regions, while the south region cranks up the heat. The tropics remain free of development, but stay generally wet.
NORTH
Spring weather is in full force across most of the north region with temperatures continuing to edge up slightly as the length of daylight increases. A weak storm cold front will pass through Japan today, but moisture is scarce in the area, so very little in the way of precipitation is expected. The primary low pressure area associated with this same system is passing through eastern Russia, with the same general conditions and results. A weak storm system will form today along a frontal boundary that extends back into eastern China, and will bring clouds and a possible sprinkle or two to these locales. The remainder of the region will see a nice day ahead with plenty of warm sunshine.

CENTRAL
Temperatures across the central region also continue to climb slowly upwards as the warm sunshine heats up the atmosphere. Moisture out ahead of a frontal system to the north is being pulled in over portions of southern China and northern Vietnam, and a few showers are possible in the locations. Skies will be cloudy far to the east in Iwo To as moisture from the most recent storm system slowly clears out. The remainder of the central region will see just a few scattered clouds mixed in with the very warm sun.

SOUTH
Seasonal summer conditions persist over the south region, with the most intense heat located over portions of Southeast Asia. The air mass is relatively uniform to the east and south, but generally hot temperatures dominate the region. Singapore will see a few scattered thunderstorms today as tropical moisture gets a lift from the intense afternoon sun. The remainder of the region will see sunny to partly cloudy skies.

TROPICS
Rainfall across the tropics will increase today, as moisture increases and gets a lift from the warm afternoon sun, located almost directly overhead. Temperatures are reflective of the increasing sun angle, and daytime duration, warming up to more normal levels. Showers and thunderstorms will be widespread across Micronesia today, as locations to the north and east see more settled conditions.
