Tropical low to possibly develop east of the Philippines

Good evening from the Western Pacific Weather team.

Damrey is no more, but a tropical depression south of the Indochina Peninsula is expected to bring showers into the southern coastline for the peninsula during the next 24 hours. Expect this system to wrap up relatively quickly going into Tuesday local time.

Meanwhile, a low is expected to develop east of the Philippines on Tuesday. This system may be something to watch as it is expected to stick around once it develops. There is a possibility that this low may develop into something more significant as it drifts westward toward the Philippines. At this point, there is no need for significant concern except to just keep the developing area under watch.
