Remnants of Kirogi bringing rain into southeastern Vietnam

Good evening from the Western Pacific Weather team.

Kirogi weakened from being a tropical storm Sunday morning, but the remnants of the system still made its way over the Indochina Peninsula. It is expected that unstable weather will be in place for the rest of the day into the evening as the instability drifts over the region. Those in central Vietnam are also likely expecting some rain from Kirogi. The low will drift its way out of the Indochina Peninsula by Monday.

Otherwise, it’s relatively quiet in most of the Western Pacific for the next 24 hours.
